These are The reports of news agency “Democratic Yugoslavia”, that were sent from Yugoslavia to the United States 1944. Part of the reports was preserved by Mrs. Ljubica Todorovich, wife of Lt. Colonel Borislav Todorovich. Borislav escaped in 1942 from German imprisonment with one colleague and crossing over France and Spain on foot they arrived in Portugal, where they were transferred to London. He accomplished parachute course in Egipt and as a volunteer he left to Draza’s Supreme Command. He become liaison officer with allied military missions. He was close with American officers sent to Draza’s head quarter in 1943, Colonel Albert Saitz and Lieutenant Walter Mansfield. At the beginning of 1944 he left together with them for Washington at special mission. In Washington he got book “Four Freedoms” with inscription of President Roosevelt to General Draza Mihailovich. At the end of 1944 together with military attaché in Washington Colonel Zhivan Knezevich he try to return to return in the country, but British arrested them in Italy. Americans saved them from delivery to communists. After the war Borislav lived in America, he achieved “American Dream”, he was dean of School of Economics in New York and one of most successful insurance businessman. In 2001 Mrs. Todorovich broth the book “Four Freedoms” to Serbia fulfilling last wish of her husband. The book is deposited in to Archive of Serbian Academy of Science and Art. She also broth the reports of news agency “Democratic Yugoslavia” and gave them to the author of this book. In 2004 I took the original pages of the report and gave them to Chetnik’s Archive of Military Historic Institute in Belgrade (today Military Archive of Serbia). Part of “Democratic Yugoslavia” report with the names of rescued pilots was already in the Military Archive. In document marked AVII, CA, K-282, Reg. No. 18/1, are two lists with total of 36 names. Todorovich’s memoars were published in America in English, under title “Last Words” and in Serbia under title “The Last Report” (Poslednji raport).
