Royal Couple host concert of St George Strings Orchestra at the White Palace
Belgrade, 24 September 2013 – Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess Katherine hosted tonight at the White Palace a concert of the famous Serbian St. George String Orchestra, that is under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Philip.
Since HRH Prince Philip wasn’t able to attend the event due to a business obligations abroad, Mr. Dragomir Acovic, member of the Crown Council read a letter on his behalf.
The St. George String Orchestra performed for the first time composition of the academician Vlastimir Trajkovic “Song with music from faraway”, but also compositions of Charles Avison, Antonio Vivaldi, Franz Schubert, Astor Piazzolla and Felix Mendellsohn.
Besides Their Royal Highnesses, the concert was attended by representatives of art and culture institutions, members of the diplomatic corps and other distinguished guests.
