HRH Crown Prince Alexander II receives Medal of Knighthood – Tesla
Belgrade, 14 October 2013 – His Royal Highness Crown Prince Alexander II received a Medal of Knighthood – Tesla from Serbian Royal Association of Academicians, innovators and scientists (SKAIN) today at the Royal Palace.
His Royal Highness Crown Prince Alexander II hosted a reception for members of Serbian Royal Association of Academicians, innovators and scientists (SKAIN) led by President of the Academy, academician Ljubinko Ilic who presented the Order to His Royal Highness Crown Prince Alexander II.
HRH Crown Prince Alexander II thanked for the honour and said that Tesla was very important figure not just of the Serbian people, but of the world, as well, and that he was very proud to receive this decoration after His Holiness Patriarch Irinej of Serbia, who also was the laureate.
Serbian Royal Association of Academicians, innovators and scientists is a democratic movement of science and technological inventors, people of spiritual, artistic and ecological achievements, a non-political organization of special interest for economic development of Serbia.

HRH Crown Princess Katherine hosts Ladies’ Morning Coffee and Discussion for breast cancer awareness
Belgrade, 14 October 2013 – Owing that October is the international month against breast cancer, Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Katherine hosted today at the Royal Palace a Coffee Morning and Discussion devoted to breast cancer awareness. This unique event, part of “Be aware and show that you care” Campaign run by HRH Crown Princess Katherine Foundation was attended by lady ambassadors and the wives of the ambassadors to Serbia, wives of Serbian Government members, cancer survivors, representatives of the International Women’s Club, “First Women’s Club” Association, successful business women as well as the ladies from international organizations in Serbia.
HRH Crown Princess Katherine Humanitarian Foundation is joining again this year the annual international cancer campaign to increases awareness on breast cancer in Serbia and to raise funds for prevention, diagnosis, and buying of equipment tor treatment of this disease.
Ladies’ Morning Coffee and Discussion was attended by Mrs. Slobodanka Bacevic, wife of Minister of Natural Resources, Mining and Spatial Planning, Mrs. Natasa Vulin, wife of Minister for Kosovo and Metohija, Mrs. Ana Ruzic, wife of Minister responsible for European integration, Mrs. Beatrice Mandl-Grozdanic, vice president of International Women’s Club, Mrs. Judite Reichenberg, Country representative of UNICEF. The Ladies morning coffee was also graced by the presence of Lady Ambassadors to Serbia: H.E. Mrs. Nafsika Krousti, Ambassador of Cyprus, H.E. HRH Crown Princess Katherine greeted the guests and emphasized how important it was that all the people are aware of this serious disease and constantly show their care and support to women who suffer from this disease and to their families. She said that her humanitarian Foundation will continue to provide their assistance in obtaining best medical equipment and providing training for our doctors in cooperation with best medical institutions in the world. Representatives of Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Katherine humanitarian Foundation presented their numerous activities.
Dr Snezana Mijalkovic made very interesting presentation about psychological approach to oncology patients, and problems that these women and their families are facing while fighting this disease.
Dr Ana Jovicevic, from Institute of oncology of Serbia and member of the Royal Medical Board spoke about medical aspects of breast cancer.
