ROYAL COUPLE AT ROYAL WEDDING IN ALBANIA

Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine are in Tirana as guests of the Albanian Royal Family (http://www.albanianroyalcourt.al/pages/welcome), for the wedding of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Leka of the Albanians and Miss Elia Zaharia.
The joyful event took place today at the Royal Palace in Tirana in the presence of both the Zaharia and Royal Families. It was followed by a special spiritual multi religious ceremony and many attendees, the wedding day was crowned in the evening by a gala dinner also at the Royal Palace (note the Royal Residence was restituted to Crown Prince Leka).
The Royal wedding was attended by Her Majesty Queen Sofia of Spain, Their Royal Highnesses Prince and Princess Michael of Kent (United Kingdom), Her Royal Highness Princess Léa of Belgium, Their Royal Highnesses Prince Guillaume and Princess Sibilla of Luxembourg, Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Meryem of Morocco, Their Serene Highnesses Prince Philipp and Princess Isabelle of Liechtenstein, His Royal Highness Prince Nikola II Petrović-Njegoš of Montenegro, Their Imperial Highnesses the Grand Duchess Maria and and Grand Duke George of Russia, Their Royal Highnesses Crown Princess Margareta and Prince Radu of Romania, Their Royal Highness Princess Irene, Prince Michael and Princess Marina of Greece, His Royal Highness Prince Davit Bagrationi of Georgia, His Excellency Ambassador of Serbia Mr. Miroljub Zaric and Mrs. Zaric,and many more.
On Sunday 9 October the Albanian Prime Minister His Excellency Mr. Edi Rama http://www.kryeministria.al/en/governmen...t/rama-edi will host a farewell a brunch for the guests.
His Royal Highness Crown Prince Leka II of the Albanians was born on the 26th of March 1982 in Johannesburg, South Africa to Their Majesties King Leka I and Queen Susan. The clinic ward was proclaimed Albanian territory for 24 hours by the South African government during his birth. The prince was given the name Leka, Anwar, Zog, Reza, Baudouin, Msiziwe and since his father’s death in 2011 he is the head of the of the Albanian Royal Family. He was proclaimed successor of the Royal Crown by His Majesty King Leka I in 2000 after his 18th birthday according to the Statute of 1928 of the Albanian monarchy. He is the sole head of the orders of the Besa and Skederbej and holds the Grand Cross of the Order of Santi Maurizio de Lazzaro.
Elia Zaharia is the daughter of George Zaharia and Yllka Muji. Her father originates from Kosova of Permeti, a region of Southern Albania. Whilst the Muji family come from Podgorica, Montenegro, later moving to Albania’s northern City of Shkoder during the monarchy. After her marriage to HRH Crown Prince Leka II on October 8th, Miss Zaharia will be known as Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Elia of the Albanians.
