Christmas Eve at the Royal Palace
Belgrade, 6 January 2014 - Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander, Crown Princess Katherine, Hereditary Prince Peter, Prince Philip and Ms Marisha Green, Mr Vladimir Bozovic, space secretary at the Ministry of the Interior, together with Mrs Kathy Fanslow, president of Lifeline Chicago Humanitarian organization and her daughter Ms Tracy Armstrong, celebrated Christmas Eve this evening at the Royal Palace in Dedinje.
The traditional burning of the Yule log was performed in front of the Royal Palace and was blessed by Father Gaja Gajic, representative of St. Sava Temple and Father Panayotis Kartasios, representative of the Greek Orthodox Church in Serbia.
Beside the members of the Royal Family there were also present members of the Gendarmerie, employees of The Royal Palace, as well as representatives of the media. The burning of the Yule log was followed by a traditional reception for all present at the Royal Palace.
Their Royal Highnesses will attend the Christmas Liturgy on Christmas, Tuesday, January 7, on 9 am at the Cathedral Church of St. Michael the Archangel in Belgrade that will be officiated by His Holiness Patriarch Irinej of Serbia.
Their Royal Highnesses send bottled water donation to General Hospital in Uzice
Belgrade, 6 January 2014 – Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine are very concerned regarding the lack of drinking water in the city of Uzice. Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Katherine secured donation of 3,000 Litres of bottled water from Coca Cola Hellenic Serbia AD for General Hospital in Uzice that has been distributed today. This donation will cover the needs of patients for one week.Their Royal Highnesses express their deepest gratitude to Coca Cola Hellenic Serbia AD for the wonderful generosity in supporting the people of Uzice.
