Hello,
I have a question about one picture that admitedly shows "Bugarski vojnici nad svojim žrtvama streljanim u Prilepu 1941." according to the site www.znaci.net

Does anybody know its true origin? There are some questions about the photo:
- the "uprising" in Prilep started in October 1941, but the picture seems to have been taken during the summer/warmer months (?)
- are there such buildings with steep roofs in Macedonia?
- the soldiers' uniforms seem to be German (?)

I am asking because three days ago the same picture was posted to the Macedonian site www.okno.mk with the caption: "Бугарски војници извршуваат убиства во Македонија" (?). Isn't this picture in fact from Serbia, or Croatia, Slovenia?:

That site has so many inaccurate signatures for images, that this could easily be one of them. The uniforms does look like german.

As i know, one of the Wehrmacht units that did have black people was Sonderverband 288, but was included in Africa Corps. How this negro ended in Serbia, i have no idea.

Били су црнци око Ваљева. Причао ми је Бане Јевтић кад су интервјуисали неког чичу, а овај почео да му прича о Немцима - црнцима, они помисле да је чича одлепио и оду.
Тек после нађу то у документима...

Изглежда, че е имало още един Sonderverband, No 287. -
През май 1943 г. от Северна Африка отиват в Югославия, до началото на 1945 г.:

"Am 2. Mai 1943 wurden die verbleibenden Teile des Sonderverbandes 287 in Grenadier-Regiment 92 (mot.) umbenannt und nach Jugoslawien zum Kampf gegen Partisanen verlegt. Der Partisanenkrieg in Jugoslawien zog sich auch 1944 hin bis das Regiment im Oktober 1944 in schweren Kaempfen bei Belgrad hohe Verluste erlitt und als Folge im Januar 1945 neuaufgebaut wurde zur Panzergrenadier-Brigade 92. "

So, that's it! They are from Sonderverband 287, later ordered to go to Yugoslavia.
