“Creation- Interior design of the St.George Church” exhibition to open in Topola

Belgrade, July 27th, 2016 – The opening ceremony of the exhibition “ Creation- Interior design of the St.George Church in Oplenac and Nikola Krasnov” by Dragomir Acovic, Chairman of the Crown Council, will take place on Thursday 28th July, at 6:00 pm, in the Karadjordje’s residence in Topola.

The author of the exhibition that represents creation of interior of church in Oplenac. Mr Dragomir Acovic and Mr. Aleksandar Leko, architect, will speak at the opening ceremony.

Exhibition “The creation of the interior design of Saint George Church” opens in Topola

Belgrade, July 28, 2016 – An exhibition showing the creation of the interior of Saint George Church in Oplenac was officially opened tonight in the Karadjordje’s residence in Topola . The author of the exhibition is Mr. Dragomir Acovic, Chairman of the Crown Council. The opening ceremony was attended by president of Topola Municipality Mr Dragan Zivanovic, members of the Advoisory Bodies to the Crown as well as many representatives of Serbian cultural and public life.

The exhibition is taking place in Karadjordje’s residence where visitors will be able to see part of story about the creation of the interior of the Saint George Church, presented through preserved mosaic templates from the collection of the Foundation of King Peter I and Nikola Krasnov ’s drawings showing his participation in creating the details of the church interior.

Welcoming the guests Mr. Dragomir Acovic said: “Tonight's exhibition reminds us how this church was created and that today we can proudly stand in front of our ancestors, as well in front of our contemporaries and descendants. Before anyone became aware of what had been built, why it had been built and what it will mean, this church was created. Luckily if they were aware of the future meaning, this project would never have been completed. In this exhibition, we also offer an exclusive look at one part of the rich talent of a man whose drawings have spoken instead of him. That man was Nikola Krasnov”.

During the opening ceremony, in addition to the author, the audience was also addressed by Mr. Aleksandar Leko, architect.

As of tomorrow, all visitors of the Karadjordje’s residence in Topola will be able to see the exhibition.

Royal Couple in humanitarian visit to Sombor, Ruma and Sremska Mitrovica

Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine have made humanitarian visits to Sombor, Ruma and Sremska Mitrovica today.

Royal Couple have General Hospital in Sombor and delivered five electric beds for Intensive Care Unit worth 20,000. The funds for this donation were secured by Lifeline Chicago, Humanitarian Organization whose Patron is HRH Crown Princess Katherine, in cooperation with Dr. Daniel Djuraskovic Megler and TRIMEDIX Foundation. The Royal Couple visited children in the children’s department accompanied by Dr. Milan Grba, director of the hospital, and gave them sweets, toys and educational material.

Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine then visited “Mika Antic” orphanage in Sombor and delivered a van for the needs of the orphanage protégés to the director of this institution Mrs. Nada Starcevic. The funds for this vehicle in the amount of 7,100 EUR were also provided by Lifeline Chicago Humanitarian Organization. Royal Couple gave toys and clothes to the orphanage’s protégés.

Their Royal Highnesses donated 500 kilos of sugar to both institutions, General Hospital and Orphanage, and that donation was provided by “Sunoko” company.

Crown Prince Alexander emphasized that he was very happy when his family and he have a chance to help very important institutions for our citizens.

“I am very proud of my wife’s humanitarian Foundation’s work, who put enormous efforts for health institutions and all those who need help”, emphasized the Crown Prince.

The Crown Prince and Crown Princess, accompanied by Mr. Sladjan Mancic, the Mayor of Ruma, then visited an office for the reduction of poverty in Ruma Municipality where they gave food parcels and clothes to most socially endangered families. Those parcels were prepared with help from Veropoulos Company.

Crown Princess Katherine thanked her associates from abroad and in Serbia who have been helping their efforts for years in advancing the health system, but also the quality of life of the citizens in Serbia.

The Royal Couple then visited Sremska Mitrovica and in their Office for reduction of poverty, accompanied by the Mayor Mr. Vladimir Petkovic, delivered food and clothes to most socially deprived families. This donation was made possible by Veropoulos company.

Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine deliver bronchoscope to Institute for pulmonary diseases in Sremska Kamenica

Belgrade, 11 August 2016 – Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine will visit Sremska Kamenica on Friday, August 12th at 11 am and a deliver bronchoscope to the Institute for pulmonary diseases.

The donation of the bronchoscope is worth 20.000 euros and it was enabled at the Boston humanitarian event in June, organized by Lifeline New York, humanitarian organization whose patron is Crown Princess Katherine.

Royal couple will also deliver linen and supporting medical equipment to the Institute for pulmonary diseases.

Belgrade, August 11, 2016 – His Royal Highness Crown Prince Alexander will attend the State Ceremony tomorrow at 9:45 am at Mišar near Šabac, on the ocasion of Battle of Mišar 210 years anniversary. The service will be officiated by Bishop Lavrentije of Šabac.

Ordered by HRH Crown Prince Alexander, the Chancery of Royal Orders has the honour to announce the following decree:

On the occasion of the anniversary of the death of our beloved ancestor, His Majesty King Peter I of blessed memory, I have decided to apply the Article 3 of the Act about the Order of the Star of Karageorge, bestowing the Grand Cross of the Star of Karageorge upon all the sons of my dear uncles Prince Tomislav and Prince Andrej – HRH Prince Nicholas, HRH Prince Djordje, HRH Prince Mihailo, HRH Prince Vladimir and HRH Prince Dimitri, as well as upon all sons of my dear recently departed cousin Prince Alexander (Pavlov) – HRH Prince Dimitri, HRH Prince Michael, HRH Prince Serge and HRH Prince Dushan.

Princess Katherine donations to elementary school and kindergarten on Monday

Belgrade, 11 September 2016 – Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Katherine on 12th of September at 10 am will visit elementary school Gavrilo Princip in Zemun and deliver a valuable donation.

The kindergarten Plavi cuperak in Zeleznik has been renovated and supplied with new mattresses for children's beds

Center for educating children and young people "Vasa Stajić" will receive the computer equipment, television sets and new furniture.

All three valuable donations have been provided by the Humanitarian Organization Lifeline Chicago under the patronage of HRH Princess Katherine.

Prince Mihailo is the son of the late TRH Prince Tomislav and Princess Linda, with his chosen one, Miss Ljubica Ljubisavljevic, will organize a reception in the White Palace which will be attended, in addition to the members and friends of the Royal Family, by numerous distinguished international and local guests from public life and prominent media representatives.

Princess Katherine will deliver a donation to the Institute of Oncology and Radiology of Serbia

Belgrade, 12 September 2016 – Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Katherine will deliver two Expert Monitors for Intensive care unit of the Children department at the Institute of Oncology and Radiology of Serbia on September 13, 2016 at 11:30 am.

This donation will be a valuable contribution to the Medical equipment of the Institute.

This important donation of humanitarian organization LIFELINE New York, under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Katherine was made possible by the participants of a donor meeting in Boston organized by Dr Katarina Terzic Konrad.

The Institute of Oncology and radiology of Serbia (IORS) is the biggest center for research and treatment of cancer in Serbia, with around 6,000 new patients diagnosed with cancer annually.
