Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine traditionally spend Christmas at their home in Dedinje with their family circle. As in previous years, this year, too, the Royal Couple had a series of traditional Christmas activities that brought joy to many children from orphanages and children from socially vulnerable categories.
HRH Crown Princess Katherine began her charity Christmas activities already on January 4, when she and Mrs. Kathy Fanslow, President of the Lifeline Chicago Humanitarian Organization, visited the shelter for children, which is at the Institute for Children and Adolescents. The Crown Princess wanted to make the Holidays beautiful for the children and show them she thinks of them, bringing them backpacks, school supplies, stuffed toys, shoes and clothing.
A day later Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine, together with the Hereditary Prince Peter, hosted the traditional Christmas receptions for more than 1,200 children from homes for children without parental care, children from socially vulnerable groups and Roma children at White Palace. Again, thanks to Mrs. Kathy Fanslow and Lifeline Chicago Humanitarian Organization toys for all the children were provided, and packets of sweets were provided by the Crown Princess Katherine’s Foundation, with the help of socially responsible companies.
