Хансенов рођак послао ми је више слика и новинских чланака, као и неке податке у мејловима. Пошто се ово не зна код нас, ево неколико мејлова, а испод неколико слика и чланака:
Miloslav:
I have Lt. Hansen's information from birth to joining the US Army, but do not have a biography about his time in Serbia. I am waiting to do a phone interview with three of his children to collect the information and make sure their stories are all in agreement to avoid giving you any incorrect information before I complete a written biography.
We have discovered the name of the Chetnik with the big, black hair - Rade M. Stojanovic. We still do not know the Chetnik who is kneeling and holding a rifle. Please see the newly copied attached photos from Hansen's daughter Laurie. She has made copies of both sides of the photos. The back of some of the photos have writing in Serbian with Latin text that we cannot understand. Can you please translate for us?
Hvala,
Jonathan
Miloslav:
In this attached photo the man wearing a Serbian uniform and carrying a rifle standing on the left side of Col. Racic is Hansen's co-pilot 1st. Lt. Charles H. Townsend. I have not yet researched him here in America.
Miloslav:
This newspaper article says that Hansen returned to active duty on August 10, 1944. I have also attached a list of showing each evacuation day of Operation Halyard and details of each flight. Hansen flew out of Serbian on either August 9th or August 10th.
Miloslav:
Attached is a color photo of Hansen from 1942 after graduating from flight school. Also attached is a photo of his engagement party to his wife, Rosalie Van Deman from February 1945. Hansen before leaving the USA for North Africa to fight in the war met by chance with Rosalie in a cafe and instantly fell in love with her. When he was in Serbia he told himself everyday that if he survived he would return to Seattle, WA, find Rosalie and marry her. They were married for almost 40 years until Hansen died in 1985.
Miloslav:
Attached are two newspaper articles. One is about Hansen and the other I do not know.
Miloslav:
This was a photo or postcard that was part of the Hansen collection. The writing in blue pen was most likely written by Rosalie and contains incorrect dates. Please disregard any blue ink.
